We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Project Engineer to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Part-Time Project Engineer, you will play a key role in contributing to the development and implementation of projects across various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design tissue phantoms for MRI, 3D printed devices and microdevices for microscopy, cell culture, and other applications.
  • Contribute to the development of novel tools to advance research and projects forward.
  • Work closely with company personnel to troubleshoot general issues on equipment throughout the lab.
  • Test systems and identify problems and needs for development of new systems or solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience with CAD, Inventor, or similar design software.
  • Exposure to a range of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team and lead research projects.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. (or B.S. in progress) in Biomedical Engineering or other engineering field, or comparable experience in design, development.
