Job Title: STIG Compliance/Vulnerability Management Engineer

At Prism, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled STIG Compliance/Vulnerability Management Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our IT systems by implementing and maintaining Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • STIG Implementation:
    • Develop and implement STIGs for various IT systems, including servers, network devices, and applications.
    • Configure and harden systems to meet STIG requirements.
    • Monitor compliance with STIGs and take corrective action as needed.
  • Vulnerability Management:
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and scans to identify security weaknesses.
    • Prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and severity.
    • Develop and implement remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities.
    • Track and manage vulnerability remediation progress.
  • Security Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST.
    • Conduct security audits and assessments.
    • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management:
    • Assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Maintain a risk register and track risk management activities.
  • Reporting:
    • Generate reports on security compliance, vulnerability status, and risk assessments.
    • Communicate security findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 8+ years of STIG Compliance/Vulnerability Management experience or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with STIGs and security hardening techniques.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
