Credit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our team at Buddys Home Furnishing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments, and maintaining company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections.

• Acquire and maintain customers through effective communication and relationship-building
• Act as a customer liaison to resell the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments
• Assist in managing store personnel, including directing activities of one or more employees
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes
• Decipher, prepare, and review store reports to ensure accurate data and compliance
• Document all customer commitments and maintain accurate records
• Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and store collections are satisfied
• Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
• Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standards
• Manage customer accounts, including negotiating and resolving conflicts
• Manage inventory and cash assets, including preparing daily work schedules and delivery schedules

• Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Established collection skills and experience with rent-to-own, retail, or other business
• Good communication skills and ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
• Learn and become proficient in POS system and maintain professional appearance
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with employees and customers
• Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates

Two years' experience with rent-to-own, retail, or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales, and merchandising. General physical requirements include lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300 pounds, stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required.
