Job Title: Dermatology Medical Assistant

At QualDerm Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our providers in delivering high-quality dermatological services.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider with patient care, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and attention. This role requires a strong commitment to patient confidentiality, effective communication, and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the provider with patient care, including escorting patients to and from exam rooms, preparing patients for exams, and reviewing health histories.
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms, including sterilizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous waste.
  • Organize patient flow, prioritizing tasks to ensure smooth and efficient care.
  • Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment according to instructions.
  • Assist with lab and pathology procedures, including preparing specimens and documenting results.
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns, providing accurate and compassionate support.
  • Document patient visits and interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Perform other administrative and clinical tasks as assigned by the provider or Practice Manager.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in dermatology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
