Topographic Survey Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly experienced Topographic Survey Expert to join our team at Apex Engineering Group in Fargo, ND. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for conducting topographic and construction surveys on various civil engineering projects, including highway and urban roadway projects.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, with experience in operating GPS, robotic, and total station survey equipment. You will work closely with our Survey Crew Chief and Land Surveyors to gather field data, prepare accurate drawings and records, and assist with construction observation duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A 2-year Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or Land Surveying is highly desirable (applicable experience may be acceptable in lieu of an Associate's Degree).
  • At least 2 years of topographic and highway/roadway construction staking experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CADD programs such as AutoCAD/Civil-3D or Microstation/GeoPak software is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
Estimated Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 per year

This is a full-time position that requires working in an outdoor environment, including construction sites and close proximity to traffic, noise, and dust. The ability to lift equipment or objects weighing 50 to 75 pounds is also necessary.
