Job Summary

The Yurok Tribe is seeking a highly skilled Grants and Compliance Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Grants and Compliance Office, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of grants and compliance with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement grant project monitoring plans to ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions.
  • Review and analyze grant expenses and activities to ensure compliance with grant regulations.
  • Collaborate with department directors to ensure that funds are neither over nor underspent.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in governmental accounting and reporting standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with four years of job-specific experience.
  • At least three years of experience in public accounting or internal audit.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, Public Law 25 Code of Federal Regulations Part 6- Indian child Protection and Family Violence Prevention, Crime Control Act of 1990, Employee Background Checks, and Executive Order 12968, Adjudicative Guidelines.
