Ultrasound Technologist II Role

At Optum, we're committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients. As an Ultrasound Technologist II, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain registration and active CME's in ultrasound to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into the computer system.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Stock medical and radiologic supplies as needed.
  • Assist in the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years.
  • Submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation for additional image acquisition.
  • Contribute to efficient out-patient operations, maximizing productivity of assigned modality.
  • Review examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to radiologists.
  • Communicate pertinent data to responsible parties for patient care.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
  • Ability to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation.
  • Correctable vision to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
