Key Responsibilities:- Maintain registration and active CME's in ultrasound to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into the computer system.
- Ensure quality standards are met in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stock medical and radiologic supplies as needed.
- Assist in the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years.
- Submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation for additional image acquisition.
- Contribute to efficient out-patient operations, maximizing productivity of assigned modality.
- Review examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to radiologists.
- Communicate pertinent data to responsible parties for patient care.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification.
- 5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
- Ability to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation.
- Correctable vision to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
