Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of MRI and MRA procedures, ensuring patient safety protocols are followed and assisting radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Treat patients professionally, serving as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Obtain patient history, screen patients for surgeries and implanted items, explain procedures, gain consent for contrast, and verify GFR as needed.
  • Place Angio catheters, inject IV MRI contrast agents, operate MRI scanners, and archive and verify MRI images.
  • Perform quality assurance testing, monitor patient status, and respond to emergency situations according to department policies.

Requirements:

  • ARRT MRI certification or registration by ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB with ARRT MRI certification within 12 months of hire.
  • CPR certification and CEUs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology Program.
