You will also be responsible for obtaining blood sugars, vital signs, and other bio measurements as ordered, and providing hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares medications for residents
  • Assists residents in taking medications, as per physician order
  • Monitors for effectiveness and untoward effects of medications, and provides education to residents
  • Obtains blood sugars, vital signs, and other bio measurements as ordered
  • Motivates, encourages, and provides positive feedback to residents when assisting with medications
  • Follows established policies and procedures for record-keeping on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and any associated forms related to assisting the resident with medications
  • Provides hands-on care to residents
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medication Technician certification required
  • Diabetes training required
  • CPR/First Aid preferred
Work Schedule:
  • Part-time; first shift (6:00am-2:30pm)
  • Full-time; second shift (2:30pm-11:00pm)
