Accountable for overseeing the operations of the Cage Department during a designated shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general cashiering duties as necessary, including validating prior bank count sheets, conducting end-of-shift counts, and reconciling to imprest funds.
- Facilitate transactions with various departments.
- Confirm accuracy of previous main bank count sheets.
- Oversee the verification of soft count drops.
- Ensure compliance of the cage with applicable Federal and State regulations.
- Supervise front window cashiers, manage breaks, and verify cashiers' banks before their departure.
- Implement and uphold internal cash control protocols, investigate discrepancies that arise during shifts, and prepare necessary reports.
- Conduct training for new hires.
- Address and resolve customer complaints.
- Engage professionally and effectively with both the public and colleagues.
- Maintain department uniformity, appearance, and grooming standards.
- Accomplish any reasonable tasks assigned by the Cage Manager or other supervisory personnel.
- Adhere to attendance policies and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company standards.
- Keep the work environment clean and free from safety hazards, debris, and litter.
- Execute all job responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Directly oversees Cage staff during a specific shift. Responsibilities include planning and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, and addressing complaints and resolving issues.
QUALIFICATIONS: To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to competently perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. All employees must be familiar with all company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Exceptional employee and customer service skills are essential. Employees must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance and be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in casino cashiering is mandatory.
- A comprehensive understanding of Cashier Cage regulations and procedures, along with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, is essential.
CERTIFICATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License.
SKILLS:
- Proficient communication skills in English are required.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is necessary.
