Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Associate to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of leading-edge technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Support: Provide technical support to the design, development, and testing of software-intensive systems, including cybersecurity, satellite ground systems, information management systems, cloud computing, and networking.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work in a collaborative, team-oriented Agile software development environment to help shape the direction of the project.
  • Software Engineering Life-Cycle: Support the software engineering life-cycle in areas such as requirements/story development and management, system architecture and design, component/system/operational testing, documentation development, security accreditation, system deployment, and IT support.
  • Analysis and Recommendations: Perform analysis of alternatives through collection and analysis of data and make recommendations to the customer.
  • Performance Assessment: Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship: Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or related field, and 0-2 years of relative experience.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with software development and/or scripting languages, such as Java, C++, Perl, Bash, etc.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and Learning: Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience through coursework and/or internships.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Active Security Clearance: Already active/existing TS/SCI security clearance.
  • High GPA: 3.0 and above GPA.
  • Software Engineering Life-Cycles: Solid understanding of software engineering life-cycles, such as Agile or Iterative development.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, database technologies, web application servers, and/or automated testing tools.
  • Application and Network Administration: Familiarity with application or network installations, configuration, and/or administration.
