Plant Operations Manager

Responsibilities
- Ensures all company safety policies, practices, and procedures are implemented and followed to achieve 100% compliance.
- Deploys Lean Manufacturing techniques in the areas of Safety, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
- Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development, and problem resolution in a way that supports the company's goals.
- Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met and followed.
- Drives improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes, and standardized work procedures, leading to productivity and efficiency gains through the application of Lean Tools.
- Oversees production supervision staff for all shifts.
- Develops production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations.
- Establishes and directs plant policies and procedures.
- Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Responsible for operational labor metrics, improvement in the Team Improvement Process, and OEE metrics.
- Facilitates Lean Six Sigma process improvement opportunities throughout the plant and serves as the plant ambassador for quality and process excellence.
- Has full P&L responsibility and works closely with finance and sales & marketing to partner towards sales objectives.
Requirements
- Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic.
- Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook are required, with fast and accurate data entry skills.
- General accounting knowledge is needed.
- Strong time management skills.
- Must be able to handle various issues simultaneously and prioritize.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to motivate while holding people accountable.
- Must be able to build strong teams and clearly articulate roles and responsibilities.
- Have a passion for employee engagement and spend adequate time on the floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations Management.
- 8 years of operations management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation$68.75-$83.17/hour.
This position is temporary with the possibility of becoming long term for the right person.
