Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing patient care under the direction of a qualified professional nurse and other health team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for making complete rounds, checking the condition of assigned patients, and providing basic nursing care to medical-surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make complete rounds and check the condition of assigned patients to ensure maximum care and to determine the need for additional or modified services.
  • Provide basic nursing care to medical-surgical patients and assist with care of patients in other departments.
  • Interact with visitors, providers, coworkers, and other departments in a customer-friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Ensure all patient information is kept confidential and adhere to patient rights policies.
Qualifications
  • Obtain and maintain CPR Certification.
  • Ability to successfully complete telemetry class to obtain basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms within the first year of employment.
  • Current CNA certification.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
