Job Description

The Plant Maintenance Assistant II is responsible for providing general maintenance and support services to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This includes performing janitorial duties, making minor repairs, and troubleshooting issues related to lighting and plumbing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and paint various structures
  • Ensure the facility is swept, mopped, cleaned, and/or polished
  • Keep bathrooms and break rooms cleaned and stocked during normal production hours
  • Remove snow from walkways and steps using all means provided and necessary
  • Sweep walkways and entryways
  • Ensure drainage ditches and culverts are free of obstructions
  • Pick up papers and refuse from the grounds
  • Perform miscellaneous yard work
  • Perform minor repairs to drywall and block walls
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor plumbing repairs
  • Repair various flooring surfaces as required (tile, carpet, VCT)
  • Assist other plant maintenance personnel during project and repair work
  • Ability to diagnose and repair various types of lighting used throughout the facility
