Job Title: Principal Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Project Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion.
  • Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive mitigations to closure.
  • Ensure requirements management, including compliance deliverables to the customer.
  • Manage the scope of IPT activities within budget and schedule allocation.
  • Ensure development activities are executed in compliance with the Program Development Plan.
  • Document program activities, including risk management, earned value, resource management, decisions, action item capture, and closure.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and tools.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or 12 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
  • Aerospace experience and previous experience in engineering, product development, operations, business development are preferred.
  • Project management experience and proven experience with presenting to customers and leadership are preferred.
