Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Powered Support Systems Mechanic to join our team at the Army National Guard Units. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our ground support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on powered ground support equipment, including generators, air compressors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  • Maintain accurate records and log books for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory and principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools is also required.
