Job Summary

The Heart and Vascular Nurse delivers professional nursing care to patient populations in the Heart and Vascular Center, which includes general cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, stroke, and other complex disease states with cardiac and vascular co-morbidities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening and preparation for exams.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Compact license is accepted.
  • Current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Must have recent Medical Surgical acute care experience of at least 1 year.
  • Experience in Cardiac is a plus.
