Job Summary:
The Patient Access Advisor is a vital member of our team at Rome Memorial Hospital, responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access to our healthcare services. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and medical necessity for services
- Collect and process patient demographic and insurance information
- Obtain authorized signatures on various documents
- Scan documents into the electronic health record
- Fax and photocopy documents as needed
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous patient access or registration experience preferred
- CHAA/CHAM Certification a plus
