Key Responsibilities:
As a Property Field Inspection Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough on-site evaluations of property damage for both residential and commercial claims.
- Collaborating with policyholders, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to efficiently resolve claims.
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries throughout the claims process.
- Documenting findings and preparing detailed reports to support claims management.
- Investigating and adjusting property claims with potential exposures up to $500,000.
- Assessing coverage and policy terms to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Negotiating settlements within authorized limits, adhering to company guidelines.
- Flexibility to work both in the field and remotely, with occasional travel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in property claims handling within the insurance sector.
- Strong understanding of property insurance policies and claim procedures.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to assess damages and negotiate settlements effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in claims management software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and navigating various structures.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with complex or high-value claims.
- Background in construction.
- Familiarity with water mitigation inspections.
- Knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents software.
