Job Summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist/Delivery Professional to join our team. As a Medical Equipment Specialist/Delivery Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring safe delivery, setup, and education in the usage of home medical equipment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current home medical equipment products and services offered by AdaptHealth LLC and all applicable governmental regulations.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment in a home setting.
  • Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery, or pickups as required.
  • Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
  • Process all orders in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
  • Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and completely document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products, and services.
  • Assist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company policies.
  • Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to customers.
  • Safely drive and maintain company vehicle.
  • Perform patient assessment and re-assessment for patient care.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with company policies.
  • Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current home medical equipment products and services offered by AdaptHealth LLC.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
  • Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
  • Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth LLC's Compliance Program.
  • Responsible for cleaning equipment when assigned by supervisor or downtime allows, following the Branch Maintenance and Cleaning Guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Entry-level sales, customer service background essential.
  • One (1) year of Military, delivery driver with sales component or healthcare technician experience would be considered related experience and preferred.
  • Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence.
