About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - Ultrasound Technician to join our team. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule with occasional evening shifts, making it an ideal fit for those seeking a work-life balance.

Job Summary
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain high-quality ultrasound scans.
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment for procedures throughout the hospital.
  • Assist physicians in obtaining optimal studies by suggesting technical factor selections.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver patient care according to department standards and promote continued quality improvement.
  2. Prepare ultrasound rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  3. Maintain accurate patient records and document statistics for department records.
  4. Transport patients as needed and provide a safe environment conducive to privacy.
  5. Foster positive guest relations with patients, employees, and personnel encountered during daily activities.
  6. Obtain patient history and ensure radiologists have pertinent information before interpreting scans.
Requirements
  • ARDMS Registry eligible; successful completion within the first year of employment.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and utilize patient handling equipment when needed.
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours, including late shifts and on-call requirements.
