Data Scientist/Statistician II

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist/Statistician II to join our team at Graham. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for performing analysis of all data into, out of and within the Department of Commerce as needed. Your expertise in data mapping and extract, transform, load (ETL) activities will be crucial in identifying and quantifying data issues within the organization and assisting in the development of plans to resolve these issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform analysis of all data into, out of and within the Department of Commerce as needed
* Identify and quantify data issues within the organization and assist in the development of plans to resolve these issues
* Perform data mapping and extract, transform, load (ETL) activities as needed
* Support routine data management processes and ad hoc user requests
* Perform testing activities as needed

Requirements

* Proficient with data visualization tools, i.e. Tableau
* Qualifications in math, statistics, operations research, economics or related quantitative discipline with experience
* MS/MA degree and related industry certifications with approximately 8 years of experience in a related field
* Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
* Friendly and personable with excellent telephone etiquette

Working Conditions

This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking. Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with a qualifying disability to perform the essential functions.
