We are seeking an experienced truck technician/mechanic to join our team at Kenworth of Louisiana. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed warranty or replacement parts
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
- Supervise work of apprentice technicians as assigned
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
- Maintain and account for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Attend and complete all company training as assigned
- 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred or trade school graduate
- OEM certifications preferred
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
