The State of South Carolina is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Administrative Assistant in Abbeville County. As an essential member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our department.

About the Job:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Abbeville County, SC
  • Salary: $41,600.00 - $49,920.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our department.
  2. Perform daily administrative duties such as handling telephone calls/messages, receiving and sorting incoming correspondence, and generating daily work requests.
  3. Operate the SCDOT HMMS computer system related to maintenance programs.
  4. Coordinate and process personnel actions for the unit and serve as central contact for personnel matters.
  5. Maintain the SCDOT filing system and assign correct document numbers.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and six (6) months of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
  • A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
