The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing, recommending, and implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance framework to ensure the consistency of process and product quality in alignment with corporate goals. The Quality Control Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Technical Services department, providing guidance to ensure adherence to company specifications, policies, formulas, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain the plant's quality assurance system in accordance with the Corporate Quality Policy.
  • In the absence of the Quality Control Supervisor, the first shift QA Supervisor will assume responsibilities.
  • Oversee technical services, sanitation, laboratory operations, and food safety across all shifts.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Guarantee compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Ensure efficient and precise testing, reporting, and monitoring of product safety and quality.
  • Develop and facilitate internal audits to evaluate compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Establish systems for verifying and monitoring process compliance to equip production teams with necessary tools for daily operations.
  • Lead the creation and execution of plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hygiene, and Sanitation initiatives.
  • Provide effective quality and food safety training for quality assurance and plant personnel.
  • Advise the Plant Management Team on quality trends within processes and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Prepare the annual budget for the Quality Assurance department.
  • Facilitate the development of logical methodologies and sampling procedures as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Quality Assurance is preferred.
  • Certification in Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is essential.
  • Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate within a matrix organization.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving abilities with innovative approaches to complex issues.
  • Experience in team building and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Project Manager, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing plant sanitation programs.
