Our expertise encompasses a wide range of services including drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, safety assessments, and comprehensive laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position Summary

The Financial Operations Intern will play a vital role in supporting the Accounts Payable team while also undertaking various administrative responsibilities. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, adhering to company policies, and collaborating with various departments to maintain financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, categorize, and promptly assess incoming invoices.
  • Assign appropriate codes to invoices and verify Purchase Order accounts for financial accuracy.
  • Proactively address and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
  • Secure necessary approvals for payments in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Facilitate electronic payments and transfers.
  • Conduct check runs as required.
  • Maintain comprehensive vendor records and files.
  • Engage with vendors to address inquiries and reconcile statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of 1099 forms.
  • Support month-end closing activities.
  • Provide documentation for audit processes.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment within the Finance Department, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor and document business expenses, verifying receipts and preparing expense reports.
  • Offer general administrative support, including managing correspondence and scheduling meetings.
  • Ensure organized and compliant maintenance of financial records, both physical and digital.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on Finance or Accounting.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite software is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic team environment.
