FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Senior Facilities Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing, coordinating, and facilitating maintenance and repair activities on building systems and equipment within the Central Passenger Terminal Complex. This role ensures that all operational and maintenance activities are executed in alignment with the policies, procedures, and protocols of the Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company, LLC. The Senior Facilities Operations Supervisor serves as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders regarding facility maintenance concerns, collaborating with service providers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts inspections to assess the quality of routine and complex maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, utilizing extensive knowledge of departmental equipment and operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • In support of the Asset Management Policy, contributes to the following initiatives:
- Contingency Planning

- Development and communication of preventive maintenance strategies

- Operational Control

- Asset Maintenance

- Supplier Development and Management

- Leading a team of 4-8 personnel

- Generating weekly and monthly performance reports

- Ensuring quality assurance through KPIs
  • Performs regular site evaluations and documents findings, reporting on inspection outcomes.
  • Ensures adherence to environmental permits, government regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Manages a diverse workload and competing priorities while collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance assessments on building systems and equipment, documenting deficiencies and notifying the Supervisor accordingly.
  • Implements follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions taken by maintenance service providers and contractors, ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ensures compliance at all times.
  • Provides input for the planning and management of the annual departmental budget.
  • Contributes to special projects and the bidding process.
  • Represents the organization with professionalism and a commitment to quality.
  • Assists with snow and ice removal operations.
  • Provides emergency coverage outside of regular hours.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance with a bachelor's degree, or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required.
  • Knowledge of regulations, practices, and principles related to personnel management, building system maintenance, and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with testing devices and power tools relevant to mechanical trades.
  • Understanding of various concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations including NFPA, OSHA, ADA, and EPA compliance codes.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for on-call duties.
  • Must pass background checks for security clearance.
