Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team. The successful candidate will assist providers in the administration of patient care, perform general administrative duties, and provide exceptional patient support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient charts for daily scheduled appointments, ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and accessible to providers.
  • Conduct rooming activities, including vital sign measurements, medication lists, and health maintenance overrides, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Obtain and document age and condition-specific measurements, including vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
  • Conduct and document hearing, vision, respiratory, and ECG testing as required.
  • Process specimens using the appropriate collection process and equipment.
  • Perform point-of-care testing accurately and administer medications and immunizations as needed.
  • Manage clinical supplies and medication sample areas to ensure stock is current, stored appropriately, and labeled.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse program required.
  • One to three years of medical assistant or LPN experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification/ABR-OE strongly recommended.
