Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including blood bank, serology, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology, to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Complete all required records and documentation, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient results.
- Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to use good judgment and independent thinking in the correlation and interpretation of patient results.
- Review pending logs and result logs, resolving any outstanding workload or communicating with staff relief.
- Perform quality control procedures per protocol, handling problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results.
- A 2 Year/Associate Degree in Medical Technology is required; a 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain a license during the interview process.
- Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas, including Generalist, Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.
