The Digital Modernization division at Leidos is in search of a Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist to oversee the operational framework for the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) NOC.
The CESO initiative aims to enhance the current Secure Web Services (SWS) environment, facilitating secure information exchange for the community, and evolving it into a more sophisticated service to cater to the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence sectors.
As part of this project, Leidos will handle the transition to commercial cloud solutions and the phasing out of outdated systems, fully automate the continuous development and integration processes, consolidate services, and enhance customer satisfaction through first-call resolution. Additionally, we aim to develop a comprehensive service catalog for the Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF) Model.
This role is based in Arlington, VA, requiring full on-site presence during the second shift (pm-8pm).
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct operational assessments at the beginning of each shift to ensure services are functioning optimally.
2. Address all known system irregularities and perform root cause analyses as necessary.
3. Propose process enhancements to reduce the likelihood of recurring issues.
4. Document new processes and mentor junior team members on updated procedures.
5. Collaborate with various IT disciplines to ensure seamless operations within the multi-user environment.
6. Implement STIG requirements, Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs), and adhere to industry best practices and network security protocols as per customer and DoD standards.
7. Take responsibility for customer inquiries, providing regular updates on ticket statuses and resolutions.
8. Plan and execute network security measures to safeguard data, software, and hardware.
9. Evaluate user requests for network upgrades or additions, assessing their impact on performance and offering practical technical guidance.
10. Provide 24/7 support during system outages, including regular updates on resolution progress.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
- Active DOD TS/SCI level security clearance, with eligibility for CI Poly.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and isolating faults in IT business systems.
- Proficiency in at least five of the following areas:
- Configuration of Cisco switches and routers.
- Dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- TCPDUMP / WireShark.
- Troubleshooting S2S/DMVPN/IPSEC tunnel connections.
- LAN and WAN network troubleshooting.
- Basic firewall troubleshooting and configuration.
- Basic ISE/TACACS troubleshooting and configuration.
- AWS Cloud services.
- VLAN configurations and VLAN trunking.
- Spanning Tree Protocol.
- 802.1x.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with DISA and its support to mission partners.
- TS/SCI with CI Poly preferred.
