We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler I to join our Cargo Assembly team at RTX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling and installing aircraft interior systems, ensuring high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings with precision and accuracy.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, and measuring equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of product in workstations to ensure seamless workflow and production efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality work checks to identify product defects and record any issues accurately.
  • Rework and Repair: Address any identified defects by reworking or repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically requires a HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic knowledge of computer operations to access and navigate essential systems and software.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the use of both hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Assist in meeting customer demands by contributing to the timely completion of assembly projects.
