- Anesthesia and Surgery: Assist with anesthesia and surgery procedures, including preparing patients, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
- Dentistry: Provide dental care to patients, including ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, and assist with dental surgery.
- Radiology: Position patients and assist with radiographs, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Laboratory Duties: Collect, prepare, and run or submit samples for requested tests, and record and report results as needed.
- Client Communication: Provide excellent communication with clients, including updating them on their pet's condition, providing discharge instructions, and offering follow-up care.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing invoices, discharge instructions, and client informational tools.
- Education and Certification: Must be a registered veterinary technician with a strong foundation in animal care and handling.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate and lift up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker.
