Role Responsibilities

The Nutritional Services Assistant plays a vital role within the Food and Nutrition Services team. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients and their families with meal selections.
  • Delivering meals and snacks to patients and collecting used trays.
  • Verifying patient dietary orders in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences.
  • Communicating any dietary concerns to the Dietitian.
  • Maintaining logs for food safety and service records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in food service, particularly in a healthcare setting.
