Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized plans of care for students.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of medical services.
  • Administer first aid, medications, and federal and district-mandated screenings as required.
  • Monitor vital signs and recognize deviations from normal ranges.
  • Document all medical interactions and interventions in accordance with school health policies and procedures.
Requirements and Preferences
  • Active MD CNA and CMT license.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • 1+ years of clinical CNA experience, preferably in a school setting or pediatric population.
  • Ability to work effectively in a school setting with students K-12.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Related clinical experience in a comparable setting.
  • Healthcare experience in a community health, ambulatory care, inpatient, or school health setting.
  • Experience in the care of school-aged children.
  • Pediatrics experience.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, community resources, and interviewing techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Perform various screening techniques and monitor vital signs.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and practices.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity when dealing with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates effective conflict resolution skills.
Functional Accountabilities
  • Contribute to the development of individualized plans of care.
