This is a full-time role for a Land Acquisition Manager at HK Global Trading Ltd. The Land Acquisition Manager will be responsible for managing land acquisition, infrastructure development, and project planning activities related to residential, commercial, and industrial lots.

The role is located in a dynamic environment but will oversee various markets. HK Global Trading Ltd. is currently looking for a Land Acquisition Manager for their Operations Department.

The right candidate will find, place under contract, receive governmental approval, and close on new land that meets the division's needs.

Develop raw land and install infrastructure to enable construction of homes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all land acquisitions and land development activities.
  • Develops business community relationships and scouts other avenues for possible acquisitions.
  • Prepares land valuation analysis and corporate budgets.
  • Develops policies for usage, sale of properties, and the construction schedule.
  • Negotiates the acquisition of properties with landowners, attorneys, or brokers.
  • Prepares memoranda and other documentation and analytics for corporate approval for land buys.
  • Manages due diligence process on land acquisition opportunities, including initial master planning work in close coordination with internal design and land development teams.
  • Manages, coordinates resources for, and meets all entitlement needs for land acquisitions.
  • Monitors development phases and entitlement processes post-closing.
  • Reviews and signs documents, plats, and contracts.
  • Responsible for developing departmental overhead budget and controlling the budget.
  • Works with area municipalities and utility contractors.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the real estate or land development industry is needed.
  • 3-5 years' experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
