We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced physician to serve as the Chair of the Department of Urology at West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department's academic mission, strategy, and operations, while maintaining a strong commitment to clinical care, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the academic mission, strategy, and operations of the Department of Urology
- Lead the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and education
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources
- Represent the department in various internal and external forums
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
- Certified by the American Board of Urology
- Medical licensure in the State of West Virginia
- Current medical school appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level
- Demonstrated experience in clinical care, education, and research
