Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. is in search of a dedicated Plant Maintenance Mechanic to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Plant Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
1. Conducting repairs and maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, following diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals.
2. Observing mechanical devices in operation to identify issues and troubleshoot effectively.
3. Performing routine maintenance, including lubrication and part replacements.
4. Reassembling machinery post-repair and monitoring operational efficiency.
5. Inspecting damaged components and advising on necessary repairs.
6. Installing and changing machine parts as per production specifications.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance or formal technical training in troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including overtime as required.
- Familiarity with mechanical components such as chains, bearings, and rollers.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires:
- Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Tolerance for extreme temperatures and various weather conditions.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
Additional Skills:
- Welding and torch certification is advantageous.
- MSHA Part 48 Training is a plus.
