Paraprofessional Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Paraprofessional to join our team at ESS Education. As a key member of our educational staff, you will work closely with certified classroom teachers and school administrators to provide instructional support and assistance to students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized instructional support to students under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Assist with classroom management and supervision, adhering to established routines and procedures
- Support students with special needs by implementing provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
- Supervise students in various settings, including the cafeteria, schoolyard, and during special activities
- Observe student behavior and progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to the classroom teacher and/or school designee
- Perform administrative tasks as directed, such as recording grades and preparing instructional materials
- Attend to students' physical, personal, and emotional needs, providing support with translation and hygiene when necessary
- Promote a safe and orderly classroom environment, taking all reasonable precautions to protect students, facilities, and materials
- Assist with bus loading and unloading during arrival and departure of students
- Demonstrate flexibility and cooperation in performing other related duties as assigned by school administration and ESS
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and school administrators
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
