Paraprofessional Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at Joplin R8. The successful candidate will provide support to the teacher-classroom in the development, implementation, and monitoring of a program designed to enhance the success of students academically and behaviorally.
Key Responsibilities- Support the teacher in the development and implementation of instructional strategies
- Provide individualized support to students, including reinforcement of previously learned skills and implementation of preventative behavior strategies
- Assist with classroom preparation, including grading, copying, and taking roll
- Model behavior interventions and classroom management strategies for teachers
- Respond to student needs and remove barriers to learning
- Implement modifications and accommodations to support students with diverse needs
- 60 college credit hours or an Associate's degree or higher
- Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before September 23, 2013) or Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after September 23, 2013)
- Completed Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training program
