We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler to join our team at BSU Inc. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of complex cable and wire harness assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions/blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
- Cut and strip wire to specifications, crimp terminals to wire ends, and install insulation sleeving.
- Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout fixtures.
- Operate equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
- Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Use a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.
- Work with minimal supervision from the Production Department Supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Wire/Cable harness assembly experience.
- Familiarity with IPC J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Minimum of 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing/assembly line.
- Ability to read and comprehend process documentation, including Bills of Materials and Assembly drawings.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
