About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler to join our team at BSU Inc. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of complex cable and wire harness assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions/blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
  2. Cut and strip wire to specifications, crimp terminals to wire ends, and install insulation sleeving.
  3. Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout fixtures.
  4. Operate equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
  5. Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
  6. Use a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors.
  7. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.
  8. Work with minimal supervision from the Production Department Supervisor.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Wire/Cable harness assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with IPC J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • Minimum of 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing/assembly line.
  • Ability to read and comprehend process documentation, including Bills of Materials and Assembly drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
