Teaching Opportunity in Management & Entrepreneurship

The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in management and entrepreneurship for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in strategic management, principles of management, leadership, negotiations, human resource management, or other courses in the discipline as needed.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to meet the needs of students.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students to support their academic success.
Qualifications:
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or MS in a field closely related to management; or a Bachelor degree in a field closely related to management and relevant work experience in an area related to the course being taught.
  • Strong oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Significant and substantive professional business experience in an area related to the course being taught.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline (e.g., human resources, industrial/ organizational psychology) at the time the appointment begins.
  • Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome.
