Job Summary:

The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences in the College of Humanities and Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Science. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in Health Science, including Medical Terminology, Safety, First Aid and CPR, and Health Care Delivery in the U.S. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning, and participate in departmental service activities.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Health Science or a related field and a strong background in teaching. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a diverse academic environment and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. A record of teaching in higher education with positive course evaluations is also preferred.
