Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Albany Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $47,230 - $77,310 per year, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including excellent health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as an employer-funded pension plan and paid leave.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, coordinate, and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and document patient information according to company policy and local/state/federal regulations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree) and current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Ability to improve job performance through continuing education and possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques.
