Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and underwrite intricate energy and mining insurance proposals.
- Serve as a mentor and leader within the underwriting team, providing technical guidance on critical coverage matters.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with brokers to enhance business opportunities.
- Advocate for our customers' interests, focusing on improving their experience by understanding their unique risks and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Employ a disciplined methodology for exposure assessment, risk evaluation, and pricing strategies.
- Utilize data insights and modeling to make informed decisions at the point of sale.
- Engage in market-facing activities within the Energy Casualty division.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, insurance regulations, and rating manual rules.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support, or equivalent experience through a Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice program.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of Commercial Casualty Underwriting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
