Job Title: Construction Superintendent - Excavation and Concrete Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent - Excavation and Concrete Expert to lead excavation and concrete operations on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a superintendent, specifically managing excavation and concrete operations.

About the Role:

The Construction Superintendent - Excavation and Concrete Expert will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of excavation and concrete work on our construction sites. This includes supervising and coordinating the work of excavation and concrete crews, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage excavation and concrete crews to ensure high-quality work and timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with excavation and concrete operations.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to establish project timelines, goals, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a high standard of safety on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site problems related to excavation and concrete work.
  • Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure the work is completed according to design.
  • Monitor daily project progress and report any delays or issues to the project manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Superintendent with a focus on excavation and concrete work in commercial or/and residential construction.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of excavation techniques and concrete placement, finishing, and curing processes.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate crews effectively.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, plans, and specifications.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
    • Ability to manage project schedules and budgets efficiently.
    • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to excavation and concrete work.

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
