Project Manager

SIRQ Inc is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our construction department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk Management: Collaborate with the project manager to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the project stays on track financially, contractually, operationally, environmentally, and schedule-wise.
- Project Organization: Provide critical information to the SIRQ controller for ProCore setup, including job address, owner details, job value, prime contract, architect, subcontractors, financial markups, and budget.
- Project Changes- Costs/Time: Distribute updates to the project team and applicable subcontractors, ensuring compliance with allowed markups and owner contract limitations.
- Pay Apps and Payments: Obtain and approve sub pay applications, review applications with the project superintendent, and work with subcontractors to ensure accurate billing.
- Relationships: Foster strong relationships with the SIRQ team, owner, architect, and trade partners, promoting a collaborative and effective working environment.
- Buy Out: Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor quotes, choose suitable subs for the project, and develop clear scopes of work.
- Oversee Closeout: Ensure warranties, O&M documents, and subcontractor contact lists are complete and accurate.
- Knowledge of Project Contracts: Familiarize yourself with owner contracts, including change order fees, liquidated damages, and finish dates, as well as SIRQ's subcontract requirements.
- Meetings and Communication: Lead or delegate meetings, including OAC meetings, project reviews, kickoff meetings, and coordination meetings, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Software Proficiency: Develop expertise in Procore, Phoenix, Outlook, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and PowerPoint, utilizing these tools to streamline project management and collaboration.
- Mentorship: Encourage and maintain a positive SIRQ culture, mentoring team members and promoting honesty, integrity, and teamwork.
- Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or having at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Language Skills: Excellent English language skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, as well as geometric formulas and equations.
- Reasoning Ability: Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in estimating and scheduling software, internet and project management software, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
