We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Operations Specialist to join our team at ONEOK. As a key member of our Natural Gas Pipeline division, you will be responsible for performing advanced level work related to gas and/or liquids pipeline system operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and/or coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot complex pipeline operations and maintenance activities on systems including compressor stations, gas storages, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment.
- Startup and shutdown pipeline operations, perform pigging, collecting liquids, changing charts, gauging tanks, locating and marking lines, monitoring cathodic protection/basic pipe coatings, leakage survey/patrolling pipelines, blowing drips, and perform line locates.
- Construction watch and/or oversee construction activities, monitor usage and/or replace lubricants, fluids, inhibitors, chemicals, etc., as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Exchange information regarding pipeline operations, maintenance, measurement, and other activities with public/governmental officials, employees, contractors, customers, producers, and landowners.
- Establish calculations, compile and/or prepare information and report, assisting others on matters including but not limited to: gas/liquid flow and quality, maintenance and/or repair logs, samples (gas/liquids), pipeline/corrosion activities, construction inspection, and appropriate regulatory requirements.
- Experience operating and maintaining pipeline systems and related equipment utilized in natural gas and liquids gathering and transmission systems.
- Experience in various field functions including measurement, cathodic protection, and compressor/pump station operations.
- Experience in maintenance and the repair of equipment.
- Experience and training related to company and governmental operating/safety procedures and environmental regulations, characteristics of natural gas and gas liquids, pigging pipeline, blowing drips, gauging tanks, and collecting liquids, construction methods, transmission and/or gathering system operations, emergency response procedures, and communication skills.
Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Working conditions include well-lighted, climate-controlled areas, outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged exposure to vibration, high-pitched noises/loud noises, unprotected heights, and frequent repetitive motion.
Travel and DrivingTravel to other locations up to 30% within assigned geographic region(s) required. Based on assigned tasks, employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license.
