We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Plains. As an Industrial Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and non-scheduled electrical maintenance and repairs on company equipment in the field, tank farms, pump stations, control center, offices, and other company facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safety of our employees and assets by following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform routine and non-routine inspections, calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of electrical and instrumentation devices and operations.
- Assist level 2 and level 3 E&I's in routine and non-routine inspections, calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Develop an understanding of different pumps and operations, synchronous and non-synchronous motors and operations, and Low Voltage Motor Control Centers (LVMCC's) and High Voltage Switchgear (HVSWGR) components and operation.
- Develop an understanding of the different iterations of logical controllers, protocol converters, communications and network equipment, and their applications and operations.
- Develop an understanding of the different types of valves and actuators, and their applications and operation.
- Develop an understanding of the different types of metering equipment, their application and operation, and ticketing and Over/Short for operational systems and the calculating process.
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A Testing.
