This is a grant-funded position within the Department of Family Medicine at Oklahoma State University. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide clinical services and care, primarily through telehealth care, as part of the Advanced Care for Rural Oklahoma program.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Practice (95%)
- Provide primary care medicine services to patients in the outpatient setting, including in-person and virtual medicine efforts in Tulsa and OSU Medicine and affiliated partners in rural Oklahoma.
- Travel to engage with affiliated partners in rural and underserved Oklahoma.
- Provide onsite care for patients who adversely react to contrast media used during MRI procedures at OSU Biomedical Imaging Center.
- Ensure compliance with OSU policies, state, regulatory, and accrediting bodies regarding the delivery of healthcare.
- Administrative Responsibilities (5%)
- Serve as a student preceptor (Physician Assistants only at this time).
- Provide classroom and laboratory instruction, as well as other duties requested by the PA program.
- Engage in research programs as opportunities arise.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chair of Family Medicine, including community engagement, clinical workflow establishment, committee assignments, and project team meetings.
The APP may be exposed to hazardous materials, hot and cold temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. The position requires the ability to lift and assist patients, both adults and children, as well as perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.
