Job Overview

Hammond Veterinary Services - LA is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our hospital, you will provide top-notch medical care to our patients and develop strong relationships with our clients.

We are a full-service state-of-the-art companion animal hospital, accredited by AAHA and A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau. Our team is dedicated to providing personalized care in a welcoming and comfortable environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Veterinary degree from an AVMA-accredited university, be proficient in general medicine and surgery, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a relationship with clients and deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Treat each pet individually to minimize stress and anxiety.
  • Stay up-to-date with innovative veterinary medications, procedures, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the support team to provide exceptional care.
  • Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
Requirements
  • Full-time or part-time Veterinarian position.
  • New graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply.
  • Compassionate, team player, and strong communicator.
  • Proficient in general medicine and surgery.
  • Doctor of Veterinary degree from an AVMA-accredited university.
  • Current DEA License or obtained upon hire.
  • Active Veterinary State License.
  • USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to sit or stand for long periods, work in a moderately high-noise environment, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ear plugs will be available upon request.

This position may require special working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. The successful candidate will have the mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability to perform the duties proficiently.
